When should a child first see a dentist?

By the first birthday, or when the first tooth comes in. Early visits help catch decay in milk teeth and get children comfortable at the dentist.

Clean and safe

Used instruments are soaked in disinfectant and cleaned. They are packed and sealed in sterilisation pouches with a colour-change indicator. The pouches go through a steam autoclave cycle; the indicator changes colour to show the cycle was complete. Pouches are opened in front of you, at the chair, for your treatment.
